I wasn't very good about taking pictures BUT, Addi, my mom and I had fun all day Saturday... we picked Addi up bright and early Saturday morning and headed to Shipshewana. As luck would have it, one of the towns we pass though (Middlebury) was having a summer festival with a parade, face painting and fair food. Of course, we HAD to stop, watch some of the parade, buy a "pretty pretty princess crown" and tried to get Ad's face painted. If you look closely at the picture below you can see red paint (NOT blood) under her nose. She freaked out when the lady tried to paint Elmo on her face, turned her head and hence the red paint that looks like a bloody nose!
Elmo on her leg was a much bigger success :)
We were back in GR by 4:30, spent some time with Grandpa John, went home and had dinner with Uncle Mike, went for a walk, and then he took us out for ice cream. Addi ate her whole cone and then helped herself to some of my flurry. Oh, and we had NO potty accidents and she was even dry when she got up Sunday morning. Yay for Addi, what a big girl.
On a side note, Addi kept wanting to kiss the baby. Which is super cute, except she didn't want to kiss my belly through the shirt, she wanted to lift it up... no matter where we were, eating ice cream, on our walk or laying on the sofa... We just love spending time with her, so is so precious.
